Kathy, congratulations first on your beautiful granddaughter! Maisy is absolutely adorable and you look so happy in that final photo holding her in your arms. Second, winning the editorial meeting is fantastic. You're on a roll. Wonderful to meet you in person in Miami. Happy new year.
Kathy; What a story! Wonderful idea for a memoir, one that needs to be written, you’re so right and that’s what your editor glommed onto. This is just lovely and it’s great that kids like us still have something to say. And we’re doing all despite having worked at the nearly defunct Nashua Telegraph. Hahaha. I didn’t know your full story before so thanks for sharing. You definitely DO have a story to tell and I’m pulling for you. And make certain to spoil that grandbaby (not that I needed to tell you that).
Kathy- your depiction of Dave dancing with Maisy and then taking them to the library, is like a golden childhood memory that refuses to die. I’ve heard being a grandmother is a lot more fun than being a mother. I look forward to this moment. In the meantime, do give dear Maisy the biggest hugs!
Yes, savor those delicious moments, Kathy! Seemingly, they seem to change and grow by the week! I hope your kids are sending you lots of pictures every week? 🙌🏼
I love your tenacity. Also , being a first time Grandma is delightful!! I sobbed when I met my sweet Lainey. My love for her is intense. I’m so happy for you . And like you, I love watching my son with Lainey. His touch is soft and his eyes sparkle when he looks at her. It’s like magic.
A bounty of blessings!
For sure, Michelle!
